Tip #1. Install and Activate Yoast SEO Plugin:
One of the most profitable traffic a blogger can get is from the search engines. Do you remember doing a search on Google?
Well, if you can get your blog and your blog posts on the search engines. You are going to do very well. Install, Yoast SEO plugin and follow the instructions to get your blog SEO-ready.
Another plugin that I’ve recently come into contact with is called Squirrly SEO. It comes with a wide range of SEO tools that you can’t find in Yoast SEO.
Tip #2. Write Consistently:
Like biking, the more you do it, the better you become. Writing consistently also keeps you accountable for yourself. Personally, I blog every single day, so I make sure myself is accountable for it.
Over time, your readers will also notice your publishing frequency. If you stop blogging out of the ordinary, your readers will start to wonder what is happening to your blog.
Tip #3. Write Captivating Headlines:
Here’s a fact for you… if your headline sucks, nobody is going to read it. Do you remember reading the newspaper?
They always use compelling headlines because they know their readers wouldn’t bother reading if it sucks. Here’s an example of both bad and good headlines:
- The Milk Tea Shop — BAD
- You Need To Check Out This Amazing Milk Tea Shop — GOOD
Tip #4. Add Pagination To Your Blog:
Assuming you’re consistently publishing new content. Over time, your older blog posts will become almost impossible to find. Therefore, it’s ideal to add pagination to your blog.
For example, I use page numbers to let my readers navigate through all of my blog posts including the really old ones.
Tip #5. Increase Your Site Speed:
Google and other search engines measure site speed as a ranking factor. That’s because a slow website = poor user experience. Therefore, you should always try to increase your site speed.

Tip #6. What Is Unique About Your Blog:
If your blog is about how to get a six-pack, what separates you from every other how to get a six-pack blog? Instead, maybe you should be more specific such as how to get a six-pack with 3 easy daily routines?
In the end, what you want to do is to separate yourself from every other blogger. After all, you’re competing with thousands of others who share the same niche topic.
Tip #7. Use SEO-Friendly URL:

Tip #8. Write Concisely:
Use facts to back up your articles and write fewer words that say much more.
Tip #9. Backup Your Blog Daily:
If you host your website on my recommended platform. Your blogs are automatically backed up on a daily basis.
If you’re not using my recommended platform, then I would double-check with the live support of your hosting company to ensure that they are backing up your blog daily just in case something disastrous happens.
Tip #10. Write Faster:
This will happen over time as you continue to produce content for your blog. Set up a timer for yourself, this will keep you accountable.
Eventually, you’ll be able to crank out a ton of content without even realizing it. Obviously, you should still edit your blog posts and ensure that they are quality content.
Tip #11. Clear Call to Action:
Every blog post should have a clear call to action. As you can see in my blog posts, I always have some sort of call to action for my readers. My call to action usually leads to my next tip.

The call to action is mainly used to collect email addresses. Your email list is going to be your greatest asset because it allows you to reach out to current readers.

Hopefully, you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed by now. It allows you to write your own custom meta descriptions.

Do you have a list of comments left unanswered? Well, that’s not only rude, but you’re missing out on another opportunity.

Before you even think about writing blog posts. You need to identify your audience. Use demographics in mind, so if you’re writing for everyone in the world.
You might want to hire a translator to translate your content for people in certain countries. You see, not everybody can read English.

Your about page gets the majority of your blog’s traffic. I’m sure most readers would like to know more about you before taking advice from you.
That’s why it’s easier to sell to friends and family compared to a complete stranger. You can use my about page as an example!

A search bar is very important because it allows a reader to search for something specific. For example, if you type “Wealthy Affiliate” in my search bar. You’ll get a result of topics that specifically talks about Wealthy Affiliate.
Tip #21. Respond To Your Emails:
Most emails are now automated, so by responding to your emails. It proves to your readers that you are a real person and that you really care about their best interests.
Tip #22. Batch Your Work:
Life is full of surprises. Maybe one day you just can’t find time to produce content. That’s why I batch my work, so I can distribute them throughout the week. For example, I publish at least 1 new blog post per day.
In order to deliver each and every time, I spend 2 days out of the week to produce an entire week’s worth of blog posts.
Then, I can use the WordPress TimeStamp feature to automatically publish them throughout the week. This allows me to keep my blog going while I’m on vacation!
Tip #23. Offer Guest Posts:
Search for top bloggers in your niche and ask if you can provide them with a blog post. It helps build your authority especially if it’s a link from a higher authority blog and sometimes it even directs traffic back to your own blog.
Tip #24. Make Sure You Have A Contact Page:
You should always provide some sort of contact info on your blog. By providing your readers a contact form, you can gain valuable feedback and can potentially lead to business opportunities.
Tip #25. Gain Some Business Partners:

At the beginning of your blogging adventure, you’ll find yourself installing and activating lots of plugins to try out.
However, as you become better as a blogger, you’ll realize that you don’t need half of those plugins. Some are actually glitchy which slows your blog down.
Check your plugins and see if there are ones that you don’t need and remove them.
Tip #28. Use A Premium Theme:
If you’re using WordPress then you have many options when it comes to premium themes.
Personally, I use the Genesis Framework paired with the Mai Lifestyle Pro child theme. Free themes are okay, but premium themes are designed better. The quality of your theme really impacts on user experience!
Tip #29. Survey Your Readers:
You’re not writing for yourself otherwise your blog would be a personal diary. You’re writing for your readers, so it’s important to understand what they are looking for.
Sometimes, I like to send out open-ended questions to my email list to gain feedback.
Tip #30. Add A Custom Favicon And Banner:
Your Favicon is a small icon that gets displayed on mobile devices and your banner is basically your trademark.

Test different opt-in forms and sales pages to see which one converts better. For this, I recommend a few software such as ClickFunnels or GrooveFunnels.

It’s not always about the money. It’s about helping people solve a problem. That’s why I recommend all bloggers build their email lists and create a lead magnet to capture emails.

Tip #33. Plan A Publish Schedule:
Because you make money online, you’re going to have readers from a different timezone. It’s important to figure out when most of your readers are active.
That way, you can publish your articles at that exact time. For example, most of my readers are active at around 5:00 PM Pacific timezone. That’s usually when I publish my blog posts.
Tip #34. Delete Unresponsive Subscribers:
Your email list can be quite expensive especially if it’s at a decent size. Unfortunately, we do get email subscribers who never look at their emails, so it’s best to just remove them to save some money.
The money you save can be reinvested in other parts of your blog.
Tip #35. Use A Timer:
I usually give myself 2 hours per blog post to ensure that I am focused and on task. You can use your smartphone or install a timer on your web browser to keep track of time.
