I know you’re probably wondering how making money online correlates with fishing, so bear with me on this one.
Today, I was talking to a friend about spending the next Saturday on a small fishing trip. The discussion got me thinking about how to be successful at fishing.
I’ve never gone fishing before, which made me realize how closely it relates to making money online.
In this article, you will learn how making money online correlates with fishing to hopefully inspire you to work with a different mentality to increase your chances of success.
Note: There are many ways to make money online and in this article, my main focus is to make money from blogging.
The Tools Required
First of all, you will need to have both fishing baits and a fishing rod. You can’t have one and not the other!
Keep the following in mind:
- Fishing Rod = Your Website
- Fishing Bait = Your Content
- Fishes = Traffic
As you can see, the fishing rod is basically your website and the fishing bait is your content. Both are critical to becoming successful at fishing or making money online from blogging.
However, having both will not guarantee success and that brings us to the next key point.
The Quality Matters!
Quality Fishing Rod = Quality Website
There are many types of fishing rods (some are better than others).
When choosing a platform to build your website, it is very important to choose one that is easy to set up as well as customize to deliver a better experience for your readers.
Personally, I use WordPress, one of the most popular blogging and website building platform. Click here to check out the exact platform that I used to create Smart Affiliate Hub.
It allowed someone like me with zero website building experience to quickly launch a fully operational website in under a minute. (But of course, it takes time to build on it).
Quality Fishing Bait = Quality Content
The quality of your fish bait will also determine how effective you will be to catch a fish.
When you use quality fish bait (freshly killed bait still retains the blood, oil, which attracts other fishes), you’re more likely to catch a fish.
Conversely, if you use imported fish bait (which contains little to no oil and blood), you’re less likely to catch a fish.
The same applies to producing content, you should focus on the quality. If you produce low-quality content(s), you’re less likely to build a readership. (fewer fishes)!
It’s A Numbers Game!
Based on statistics, the longer I spend out in the ocean performing fish catching activities, the more fishes I will end up catching.
If I cast my fishing line once and take a nap for the remainder of the trip, if lucky, I will catch one fish. If I hope to catch lots of fishes, I will need to work for it.
In internet marketing or making money online. You can’t just produce one content and walk away from your blog for months and hope to see positive results.
That’s why you see me consistently producing content on a regular basis.
The more quality content I produce, the more articles I will have indexed on the search engines. This gives me more opportunity to capture free organic traffic.
You Need To Get A Mentor
I’ve never fished before, so I’m going to rely heavily on my friend to teach me how to do it. Even though we are kind of competing against each other (friendly competition).
The same applies to making money online. Sure you can start without any help, but why wouldn’t you ask for help especially if you can get help for free?
For example, Smart Affiliate Hub is packed with great information. My recommended platform provides you with more training as well as action plans, so you can get started step-by-step.
In Conclusion
Whether it is fishing or making money online from blogging, you will need to understand that you must have the right foundation and tools.
- You can’t make money blogging without a blog with content(s).
- If you don’t run a quality blog with quality content, you will have a hard time building a readership.
- You’re not going to be successful at all if you’re not willing to put in the effort.
There are no shortcuts, so if you really want to make money online, you can replicate exactly what I did to get me this far.
I’m not your typical internet marketer that boasts about earning millions. What I can tell you is, I am making money online and it feels great to earn money while spending time with friends and family.
Before you continue, you need to ask yourself if you are willing to put in the time and effort to create an online business that allows you to live a better life.
