Today, I will be at a wedding, so I wanted to at least get a small article out before the night is over. In this article, I will go over how you can come up with new blog content!
As you become a regular blogger, you’ll eventually run into some form of writer’s block. You’ll find it difficult to come up with any sort of content ideas.
Continue reading and I will reveal to you a few tips to help you push through the writer’s block when you feel like there’s no hope.
Use Social Media
Believe it or not, Social Media is one of my top resources to gather ideas for blog content. Currently, I have around 30 blog ideas in the queue, so if I run out of content. I would just go to my content ideas and create a new blog post.
The nice thing about Social Media is that you can see if the post is popular. Are people engaging with the author?
When using Social Media for content ideas, you want to make sure that it relates to your niche. You don’t want to create content that your readers would not care to read.
Follow Other Bloggers
You can use services like Feedspot to get updates on the latest post in your niche industry. For example, I am in the make money online niche, so I follow the top 35 money making blogs (PS. I happen to be one of them).
There, I can browse through blogs in my niche space and find out what kind of content they are producing. It also gives me the reader’s perspective of what it would take to bring me back on a regular basis.
When it comes to getting ideas from other blogs. Make sure you don’t plagiarize their work. Instead, portray it in your own words! Your readers are not dumb! You will lose all credibility and that my friend, is bad for business.
Answer Your Email Questions
There are days when I only write content to help answer my reader’s email. More often than not, my reader’s would ask me the same questions. So instead of just answering it all one by one, I would usually write an article that answers the question. This allows me to drive traffic back to my website and hopefully prevent this question from being asked again in the future.
After all, we are in the business of helping people, so why not create a blog post to help answer questions from your email list?
Read Your Blog Comments
Blog comments can be a great source of ideas! Some of my blog posts would never exist if it wasn’t for a reader’s comment. Similar to answering your email questions, a blog comment can also be used to generate content ideas.
Note: Your blogging for your reader’s and by reading your blog comments. You’re actually trying to find out what your readers are hoping to learn from you.
Just Take A Break From Blogging
This is probably the best way to come up with new content ideas. Sometimes I would stare at my laptop for minutes because I just don’t know what to write about. At the point, stopping and taking a break is probably for the better.
If this is happening to you, don’t feel bad because writer’s block happens to all of us. Hopefully, some ideas that I’ve mentioned in this article will help you break that barrier and get you to continue producing content for your website.
Anyways, I have a dinner party to attend, so I’ll catch you all later! If you have any suggestions or comments, please leave them down below!
Kind Regards,
