Blogging is a great way to make money online! Anyone can start a blog with zero difficulties, as a matter of fact, there are currently over 1.5 billion active websites while a great percentage are blogs. This number is only going up thanks to platforms like WordPress, Bloggers, Wix, etc.

I remember struggling to learn how to build a website in the past and that’s why I never started back then. In my opinion, the ease of starting a blog is a blessing and a curse.

Since you can start a blog in minutes, that also means there are many low-quality blogs. If you want to stand out from the crowd, you must utilize the best available tools, resources, training, etc. In this article, you will learn how to grow your blog faster than the average joe.

Before we begin, I want to emphasize the importance of quality over quantity. You can reach success faster with 100 high-quality blog posts compared to someone with 1000 low-quality blog posts. Without further ado, let’s dive right in!

Include Videos For Your Blog Posts

You don’t have to create videos for every single blog posts, but you should try to create videos for your best work. The purpose of your blog is to build a relationship and to provide value to your readers. It’s also a great way to get free organic traffic to your website if you know how to optimize it for search engines and how to properly market it through Social Media.

However, there’s only so much you can do when it comes to text content. Google and other search engines love text content, but the problem is, fewer people are willing to read when they can find similar content via YouTube.

For example, if you’re searching for a product review. Someone who is visually displaying the product and doing demonstrations with the actual product will have more of an impact on their audience compared to a text-based review. That’s why you shouldn’t leave money on the table and start creating video content and include it in your blog posts.

There are many platforms you can choose from to create your very own video. My personal favorite is YouTube because you can monetize that as well if you meet their requirements.

The videos you create can be placed in your blog post or you can add it to your landing or sales pages to explain to your potential customers what they can expect to get if they were to opt in or purchase your product.

Utilize The Power Of Email Marketing

First, ask yourself why you want to scale and grow a blog. Are you doing it for fun or are you trying to make money online? For the majority of us, it’s to eventually make money, so we can replace our regular 9 to 5 job. With a blog that has traction, you can scale and grow your blog to the next level by utilizing the power of email marketing.

The purpose of email marketing is to get people to take relationship building to the next level. You see, without email marketing, you will have NO control when it comes to asking people to come back.

Here’s my tip for you, stop focusing on getting new traffic. Instead, you should focus on getting people to come back to your blog!—A successful business strives on repeat customers.

Look at Apple, for example, they cater to the majority of the world, but what if they only get one sale per customer? Eventually, they will go out of business of course! The reason why Apple is so successful is that they have a large percentage of returning customers.

Chances are, you’re not going to have a storefront like Apple and you’re definitely not going to have an established brand like Apple, so what can you do to get people to come back?

The answer lies in two words: Email Marketing! – If you have contact information, you will be able to ask your readers to come back and check out your new blog posts.

Before you can start collecting emails, you will need to have a way to collect emails and an email marketing service provider. First, you can create your very own landing page using Elementor, the #1 WordPress Page Builder. The next step is to create a lead magnet to provide a reason for your readers to sign up for your newsletter. Finally, you should sign up for Aweber, my recommended email marketing service provider.

I’m placing this last because for most beginners, money can be a challenge. When I first started my blog, I couldn’t afford to outsource. To this day, I still create my own content and optimize them for search engines like Google. Maybe one day, I will hire someone else to do content creation, so I can focus on other aspects of my blog.

Personally, I wanted to understand how to run a blog on my own, so I don’t get screwed if I decide to outsource for help. However, if I had the money to outsource, my blog might be at a completely different level compared to where it stands today.

My advice is to focus on content creation first. Once you get a better understanding of how search engine optimizations work and have already generated some revenue. You can start outsourcing for help!

Look at CEO’s, they outsource for help because they would never be able to run a multi-billion dollar business if they have to do everything from janitorial service to management.

As a blogger, you can use other blogs as role models. Many information-based websites like mine hires freelance writers to produce their daily content. This allows the owner of the blog to focus on other areas such as marketing, so he or she can live the ultimate lifestyle that consists of time freedom, money freedom, and location freedom.

You can find affordable freelance writers from websites like Fiverr or Freelancemyway.com. Before you hire anyone, make sure you read their portfolio to ensure that you’re getting the best bang for your buck.

In Conclusion

If you apply the 3 tips above, you should notice a significant difference in traffic, but in the end, what really makes the difference is you.

You as in your mentality!

Most people don’t view a blog as an actual business, but it is if you’re using it to make money online. Therefore, you need to treat your blog as an actual business.

The secret to making money with a blog is to start a blog and provide valuable content to your niche audience. The next step is to market your content to drive in traffic. The next step is to utilize email marketing to get return visitors as well.
