Wow, I can’t believe what time I woke up today! It’s already 12:30 pm and I missed one of the most important meals that you should have also known as breakfast. In addition to my regular how to make money online blog posts, I would like to share a little about my day and the lessons that I’ve learned.
Last night, I went to bed at around 1:00 am, so I slept for about 11 hours and 30 minutes. Bear in mind, I am only 27 years old, so I actually don’t need to sleep for this long.
After prepping myself for the day with a delicious bowl of lucky charms, I decided to check my emails, Social Media accounts, and brainstorm for new content. Next thing I know, it was already 2:00 pm.
I can’t believe the day is almost over and I have not produced a single piece of new content for my blog. This made me realized that sleeping too much is costing me valuable time.
As we all know, we are limited by how many hours we can use in a day. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor. Time is fair and it’s up to you to decide what you want to do with your time.
Do You Like Sleeping In On Your Day Off?
For the average person, sleeping in on their day off is a luxury. Waking up for the regular 9 to 5 job really puts a damper on our mentality. Nobody wants to wake up early in the morning to go to work, so naturally, on our day off, our body will tell us to just sleep as much as we can. But do you really want to sleep your life away?
People Who Are Successful Wakes Up Very Early. You Snooze, You Lose!
I was talking to a friend who I would consider to be pretty successful. I asked him about his daily routines and what made an impact on his journey to success.
His answer was, “When you wake up earlier, it allows you to complete your tasks without distractions. It will also give you more time to spend with your family and friends.”
Basically, he goes to bed at around 12:00 pm and wakes up at around 7:00 am every single day. With 7 hours of sleep, he’s able to complete his morning exercises, eat breakfast, and work on his business with plenty of time left to hang out with his wife and kids.
Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this: When you wake up earlier than the average person, it gives you more time to focus on things that scale your business which results in more profits.
What I’ve Decided To Do
I’m going to try to readjust my sleeping schedule, so I can wake up earlier while maintaining adequate rest time. Hopefully, this will allow me to focus more time on my blog to make it even better! Maybe you should do the same?
Keep in mind though, lack of sleep can negatively affect your health, so do what works for you. If you can wake up at 9:00 am and still work productively then more power to you!
Are you willing to wake up earlier to make the best use of your time? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
