The basic principle of making money online is quite simple: Traffic + Conversion = Sales. That’s why we all focus so much on traffic generation.
Some people spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on paid advertisements. While others are focusing on content marketing to drive traffic.
Unfortunately, traffic doesn’t always turn into conversion and sales. I wish it was that simple because I would be a billionaire by now. So how can you increase sales conversion from your traffic? Well, the answer is quite simple!
What you need is known as a landing page! A landing page that compels your visitors to take action. Whether it is to opt-in to your email list or to purchase a product or service.
If you’re not good at visual designing or coding. I highly recommend that you check out ClickFunnels or LeadPages. Both are the ideal software for creating high converting landing pages plus more!
With software like ClickFunnels or LeadPages, you’ll be able to create awesome landing pages with minimal effort.
However, I do recommend personalizing your landing pages, so I’m going to provide you with a few times to turn your already impressive landing page to a money-making machine. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Tip #1. Establish Yourself And Your Brand
Do you know why Apple and Samsung are so successful? It’s because people are more comfortable to do business with companies they know and trust. Your landing page is only the shell of your business.
That’s why it is important to establish yourself and your brand. Once people know who you are and trust you. Your visitors will feel more comfortable buying from you.
With that being said, even if you have the best landing page design in the world. You’ll still have a hard time converting your visitors if they don’t know or trust your business. So keep in mind that building your brand is more important than a mere landing page.
Tip #2. Offer An Irresistible Lead Magnet
Do you like free stuff? I do and most people do as well. A lead magnet is usually a free product or service designed to capture your visitor’s email. This can be a free consultation or just a free eBook.
The bottom line is to give your readers a compelling offer, so he or she is more likely to convert. When offering your lead magnet, make sure you state specifically what your readers are going to get otherwise they’ll just leave.
Tip #3. Captivating Headline, But Don’t Mislead!
In the content-driven world of blogging. Having a captivating headline can mean the difference between success and failure. Obviously, you want to succeed, right? Your headline is the first impression and basically the reason why your readers should convert.
Create a captivating headline and reinforce it with content. If your headline sucks, it doesn’t matter how great your product is. They’ll just look at it and bounce right off your website.
Tip #4. A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
When creating your landing page, you don’t want to turn it into a blog post. If there’s too much text on your landing page, people will not read it and they will leave.
Keep it simple and make sure your call-to-action reflects your offer. Also, use images to keep your readers engaged with the minimal amount of text for skimming purposes.
If you don’t have coding experience, you can create your sales pages, landing pages, sales funnels with ClickFunnels.
Tip #5. Add Testimonials If You Have Any
People love reading testimonials and product reviews. That’s why online shopping companies offer user reviews for their products. Most people would never buy anything until after they’ve read what others think about it.
In your landing page, you want to include testimonials from previous customers (offer a discount code for review) and other means to show that you are a reputable source.
In Conclusion
Whether you are an expert or a complete newbie at making landing pages. These tips should help you increase conversion. Don’t forget to do a/b split test on your landing pages! There’s no such thing as the perfect landing page, so always aim to increase conversion.
For example, if my first landing page is getting a 50% opt-in ratio compared to the second landing page that gets 20%. I would focus on increasing the first landing page to 60% or higher.
