How To Beat The Competition In Your Niche

Nobody likes competition, especially if you’re trying to succeed. It’s like trying to go after a girlfriend or boyfriend. Isn’t it so much easier when you’re the only one competing for that person? Unfortunately, anything worthwhile will be packed with competition.

Sometimes competition can discourage you from moving forward. This is especially true when it comes to running a niche blogging business. However, should you just give up entirely because you think you’re just not good enough? Heck no, you push forward and do even better!

In this article, I will share a few tips that you can use right now to beat the competition in your niche. First, I need your commitment to finish reading this article until the very end. If you can do that, then let us continue!

Tip #1. Expect The Competition

You should expect the competition no matter what niche market you’re in. For example, the make money online niche is extremely popular because who doesn’t want to make money online right? Should I just give up and choose something else? Absolutely not, especially if I am passionate about it.

Instead, use your competition as a leverage! There are thousands of blogs out there that closely resembles yours in terms of content. Most are low-quality and shouldn’t last for very long. Leverage their low-quality content by creating high-quality content that blows theirs away.

Your readers are not tied down to your blog. I’m sure most of your readers are also following other blogs that relate to yours. If you can create content that makes them remember yours over the other thousand blogs out there. YOU WIN (:

Tip #2. People Can Read You Like A Book, So Be Passionate About What You’re Writing

If you want to beat your competition, you need to ask yourself how passionate you are about your niche. I’ve seen bloggers who blog only for the purpose of blogging. Their content is absolutely boring and doesn’t scream excitement.

Most of those bloggers only care about making money. They don’t care if they are delivering value. If you have that kind of mentality, you should just stop now.

Blogging is not just about producing content and getting viewers. It’s all about relationship building by solving problems through your content.

Also, if you are not passionate about what you’re blogging about. You will burn out very quickly and eventually quit. This happens a lot and one of the biggest reasons why most people fail to make money online. When you focus too much on the money, you’ll never see the money. When you focus on your passion, you’ll do the impossible and break through a new layer of success.

Before you get started, I want you to ask yourself how passionate you are about your niche. Can you see yourself writing about that topic for years and years to come?

Tip #3. Blog With Your Unique Voice

There are millions of blog posts on the internet. Let’s say you want to write about SEO today. I can almost guarantee you that there are hundreds or maybe even thousands of other bloggers that have already touched based on this subject. The information is close to the same, so what makes you different?

Well, what makes you different is simple… it’s YOU!

Your writing style is unique to you! Nobody can imitate that 100%, so use it to your advantage. When it comes to blogging, I try to use my talking voice to speak to my readers.

Nobody likes to listen or read a robotic tone. That’s why I always exit out of YouTube videos that use a computer-generated voice. Be yourself and talk to your readers as if you’re holding a live conversation with a friend. By using words like you and me, your readers will feel more connected and engaged.

Tip #4. Do Better Than Your Competition

Do you research for information before you write your blog posts? I do and that’s probably what 99.9% of the blogging population is doing. The truth is, we are not born with knowledge. We learn it like everybody else, but the only difference is, we are willing to portray it in our own way to educate your readers.

When you’re blogging, you don’t want to do what your competition is doing. You want to do better than your competition. If they are writing an article about the top 10 ways to make money online. You want to take it to the next level by writing the top 101 ways to make money online.

This ensures that you are being more precise than your competition and will discourage others from copying you. I mean, who wants to write 101 ways to do something right?

Tip #5. There Are More Buyers Than Sellers

Majority of the world are consumers and very few are producers. As a producer, you will be the one to generate the money because you’re producing something for the consumers to buy.

Here’s another example for you, go to a seminar and tell me what’s the ratio between listeners and speakers? What about readers and writers?

In Conclusion

Even with the number of competitions out there, you should not let it discourage you. Instead, let it motivate you to do better. Each morning when I wake up, I would listen to people in the make money online industry. I learn from these people and they are the ones that motivate me to do what I do.

Not once, have I allowed these highly successful individuals to hold me back and make me feel like I’m not good enough. Sure, I’m not as successful, but I promised myself that I will be just as successful if not more successful one day. If I give up now, I’m definitely not going to reach that goal.

How do you view your competition? Do you let them discourage you or motivate you? Please let us know by sharing your feedback down below. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
