Most beginners wonder if the niche they chose is the right one. Sometimes they are even under the impression that they must choose a niche that is new to themselves as well as less competition.
Let’s just say, a profitable niche is not going to be new to others even though it might be new for you. And most definitely, it will likely be competitive.
This is because a niche that is not heavily marketed is probably not in demand which results in no money to be made.
In this article, I am going to show you how to find a profitable niche market. I will also provide you with some examples that I believe to be highly profitable.
Tip #1. List Your Interests
First, you should always try to choose a couple of niches that you have an interest in. With interest, you’ll enjoy the research which results in more knowledge.
While you’re thinking about what you like, write it down because you will refer back to your list and choose the one that works best for you.
Tip #2. The Problems That Revolves Around Your Interests
The truth to the matter is, no matter what you like, there will always be problems to deal with. For example, a carpenters problem is carrying too much weight which stresses their body over time.
This will help you understand how your audience feels about your niche and will help you better cater to them through solution recommendations.
Tip #3. List Of Solutions Per Interest
Once you’ve identified a list of problems that each interest comes with. This will help you understand what kind of solutions you can offer to your audience.
Per interest, you can research what are available solutions in the market. Let’s use the carpenter example again.
There are lighter and more resilient tool bags in the market along with titanium tools such as hammers to reduce weight being carried.
Tip #4. Research Your Interests
Google Trends is a great resource to find out how popular a topic is currently. The more popular the topic is, the more audience you can reach out to.
Another tool that I use is Jaaxy Keyword and Research Tool as well as UberSuggest. They both give search volumes to help you determine how popular a topic actually is.
You can also use websites like Amazon, arguably the biggest online retailer to find out the demand for products. This can be done by reading customer testimonials and ratings.
Another benefit of using Amazon to research the demand of each interest is that you can niche down to something more specific.
How To Niche Down On Amazon:
- Click on the ALL tab at the search bar and it will show you a list of niches.
- Choose a niche that interests you.
- Don’t type anything in the search box, leave it blank and hit ENTER on your keyboard.
- Once the new page finishes loading, on the left-hand side, you will find a list of sub-categories.
- Click on any of the sub-categories and it will present you with more specific categories.
And that’s it! You have just learned how to niche down and find more specific niche topics.
Now it’s up to you to determine which niche topic you think will be sustainable for you. You must ask yourself, will you be able to talk about your niche topic for years down the road?
