Welcome to my article on How To Create An Internet Marketing Campaign Today! When you hear business, you will always think about marketing. How are these businesses acquiring customers?
Whether you’re doing advertisements on the radio, television, newspaper, or digital marketing. THere are a few steps that you must take in order to create a successful marketing campaign. One that engages with your customers and increases your sales numbers.
But since we are talking about online businesses here, I will go over a few steps that you must take in order to create a successful internet marketing campaign. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Step #1. What Are Your Goals?
Before you plan out an internet marketing campaign, you need to determine your goals. Whether it is, to gain X-amount of clients per month or to sell X-amount of products per week.
Note: Use the analogy SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely) for best results.
Remember, you need to always set goals, otherwise, you wouldn’t know if your efforts are working!
Step #2. What Is Your Budget?
Once you’ve determined your goals, the next step is to determine your budget. You should determine how much money you can afford to spend during the early stages of building your internet marketing campaign, so you can strategize more efficiently.
Step #3. Target Market Research
Whatever you decide to do must revolve around your audience. To gather information, you can conduct focus groups, surveys, etc. The goal is to understand how your audience behaves, thinks, searches, and buys.
It’s important to understand the following:
- What does your audience want?
- What does your audience need?
Step #4. Set Up A Sales Funnel Page
Now that you have done your research on your targeted audience. The next step is to set up a page that also revolves around your targeted audience.
On this page, you want to ensure that it serves its purpose. Delivers what your audience is looking for in terms of their needs and wants.
For example, your sales funnel can offer a low-cost product (Shaving Razors). When a customer buys from you, you can then offer a monthly subscription for razor blades to be shipped to their house.
If you don’t know how to create a sales funnel. I highly recommend checking out ClickFunnels. In my opinion, they are the most user-friendly sales funnel creation software around.
Step #5. Acquiring Traffic To Your Sales Funnel
There are two great ways to acquiring traffic to your sales funnel. One is search engine traffic and the other is paid traffic.
If your website contains a blog, you can always send traffic from your blog directly to your sales funnel. However, this method does require more time.
Whereas paid traffic is a lot faster. These days, online businesses and local businesses are spending money on Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads to acquire traffic.
When someone clicks on your advertisement, they’ll be sent straight to your sales funnel.
Personally, I like to use content marketing with search engine optimization. It’s absolutely free but very hard to achieve at first.
My best word of advice is to utilize both options. Don’t leave money on the table.
Step #6. Convert Your Prospects
Most customers don’t buy after seeing your offer once. So, the best way to go about this approach is to first offer a lead magnet to capture the user’s name and email address.
Your lead magnet can be free subscriptions, product discounts, etc.
This allows you to follow up with them at a later date.— Once you receive their information, they will now be considered a lead.
A lead is a great start, but you still need to convert them into customers. To separate the leads from customers, you can offer them what is known as a tripwire product.
A product that is inexpensive to buy and usually not profitable. However, the end result is, you will know who is an actual customer.
Step #7. Build A Relationship
The purpose of following up is to nurture existing leads and retain existing customers. The technique you use for both is the same except with slight differences.
Existing Leads (The goal is to get them to make a decision to purchase):
- You want to provide more information as to why they should buy your product.
- You can also offer them promotional discounts.
- The goal is to get them to make a decision to purchase.
Existing Customers (The goal is to get them to buy more):
- You can provide them with upgrade options like memberships.
- You can also offer a discount on their next purchases.
- You can also offer them in-additions such as accessories.
Step #8. Analyze Your Campaign And Adjust If Necessary
It’s difficult to have a perfect campaign from the get-go. What you want to do is go back to your goals and see if you are actually achieving them. If you’re not, don’t be discouraged.
Life is a process of trial and error. Without failure, you won’t see success.
If you need to adjust your campaign, all you have to do is redo the entire process from step #1. Keep doing it and eventually, you will have an internet marketing campaign that works for you!
In Conclusion
I know this whole internet marketing campaign sounds like a bunch of work. But trust me, if you follow these steps, you will see greater results.
