What’s Shown In The Reports
SEO Rating: Your SEO is evaluated and given a grade to ensure that your website is SEO friendly and driving traffic through search engines.
This is your opportunity to double check and correct your SEO mistakes. This is accomplished by checking the following:
#1: Checking your Title Tag to see if it is at optimal length (between 10 and 70 characters).
#2: Checking your Meta Tag Description to see if it is at optimal length (between 70 and 160 characters).
#3: Checking if your website is making good use of Header Tags. This is what tells the search engines the topic and keywords you would like to rank for.
#4: Checking if your website’s main keywords are distributed across the HTML tags.
#5: Checking if your website has enough contextual content. (Word Count)
#6: Scanning your website for images that are missing ALT attributes.
#7: Checks for backlinks to your website and offering you suggestions on how to improve your backlinks to gain more authority.
#8: Checks for external links that lead to other websites. This will also tell you if you are sending any of your authority to other websites.
#9: Checks for broken links that would cause visitor inconvenience.
#10: Checks for URLs on your website that are not human or search engine friendly.
#11: Checks to see if your website has the robot.txt file. (This file tells the search engine crawlers where they are allowed to visit).
#12: Checks to see if your website has the XML Sitemap. (This makes it easier for search engines to find and rank your pages).
#13: Checks to see if you have the Google Analytic installed. (This allows you to track your visitor traffic).
Website Usability: Do you want to know how your website is performing across the board from desktop to mobile?
This evaluation will allow you to make the necessary adjustments to ensure your website is user-friendly from desktop to mobile.
#1: You will receive a device render to show you how your website looks on the tablet or mobile phone. Remember, the majority of internet traffic comes from tablet and mobile phones!
#2: Checks if your website has mobile viewports. This allows your website to configure your website to match the device size.
This is very important because you don’t want your website to be hard to navigate when going from one device to another.
#3: SEOptimer will also check for Flash Content such as animations and flash display text. These can offer poor user experience due to slowdowns as well as distractions.
#4: Checks to see if you are using iFrames on your website. iFrames are used to embed content, but this can cause navigation issues, so it’s best to avoid.
#5: Checks to see if you have a favicon on your website. You can check out this article because they explain it way better than I can.
#6: Part of user experience is legible words. That’s why this is no exception to website usability.
#7: Button sizes might seem like something very small, but it can be difficult for your visitors to click on their touchscreens if the button is too small.
Website Performance: This is no doubt one of the MOST important parts of running a successful online business. Nobody has time to wait for your website to load! If your website is not performing well, you can lose a lot of visitors.
#1: First to be evaluated is your page speed; your page request’s server response time. The lower the better(:
#2: The next to be evaluated is your page file size. Obviously the lower the better!
#3: Lastly, SEOptimer will check if there are java errors and picture optimizations required.
Social Results: If you are an online business owner, you should never neglect your social media status. I definitely need to work on this myself.
#1: Checks to see if you have Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn connections.
#2: Checks to see how many shares and likes you have on your social media.
Security Results: Your website security should always be a priority if you want to build trust with your visitors. It’s like asking someone to spend the night at your house, but the doors will remain open with no way of keeping intruders out.
#1: Your website will be inspected to see if you have Secure Socket Layers (SSL) on your website.
#2: Checks to see if your HTTP (Non-secure) website redirects to HTTPS (Secured).
#3: Your website will also be checked for reports of malware from popular malware scanners.
#4: Checks to see if there are any outdated software on your server.
#5: Lastly, your page is inspected for email privacy.
