Are you new to internet marketing? Have you ever heard of search engine optimization (SEO)? It’s going to be a term that will stay with you as long as you want to pursue in this industry.
SEO and Social Media Marketing strategies is a focus point for all online businesses. With how easy it is to access information these days. You’ll want to position your business to be one of the first to receive traffic.
The more exposure you have, the more revenue you can potentially gain.
Google and other search engines are pretty good at positioning the right articles to provide the best value to their visitors.
For example, if I’m searching for how fast a cheetah can run. I’m pretty sure I would be able to find the answer on the first page. That leaves everything else after the first page untouched.
The end result of search engine optimization will benefit you in many ways:
- More exposure to people who are searching for information like yours.
- More organic (free) traffic that is highly targeted.
- Your revenue will increase if you are able to convert these free traffic.
Now we also don’t want to dismiss Social Media because they are one of the most heavily used platforms today. Small and large businesses are both targeting their customers using platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc.
In this article, you will learn how to use both SEO and Social Media marketing to grow your brand and increase your business revenue.
SEO And Social Media Is Like Peanut Butter And Jelly. They Work Well Together
SEO is a slow, but a very rewarding process to gain free traffic, but that doesn’t mean you should neglect the power of Social Media. If you have a smartphone or access to the internet. Chances are, you have a few Social Media accounts.
Similar to YouTube, most people spend hours per day just wandering Social Media searching for entertainment and information.
This allows you to reach out to even more people for free!— With Smartphones, people are able to access the internet and Social Media even if they are not sitting at home in front of a computer.
With that being said, I recommend that you create Social Media profiles for your online business, so you can connect with people who are interested in your niche.
Personally, I promote each and every article on Social Media as soon as it gets published. This allows me to reach hundreds, thousands, and even millions of people almost instantly.
If your content is share-worthy, you will also gain additional exposure because people are more likely to share with people in their network.
You can do only do so much on your own. When others are sharing your content. You are gaining an audience that you wouldn’t have otherwise.
In addition, Social Media can also improve your SEO through awareness, shares, likes, comments, etc.
It’s Free Advertisement!
There are many ways to market your brand and advertise, but it can be very expensive. Most people end up spending their entire bank account with little results.
However, with SEO and Social Media, you are going to get traffic to your website for free. In fact, SEO will continue to bring in traffic over the years while paid methods will only work during the time that you’re spending money.
I’m not opposed to paid traffic, but you should always focus on SEO and Social Media because it’s free and highly targeted. It also allows beginners with smaller budgets to grow their business.
Develop A Positive Reputation With Your Audience
Why do people buy from Apple every time they come up with a new product? Let’s look at the Apple Airpod for example. Personally, I think it’s one of the ugliest pieces of earpiece that I’ve ever seen.
Yet, people are still buying it… why? It’s because Apple has a good reputation. People trust them with their money and that’s why they are making so much money year after year.
Let’s say a third-party company is manufacturing something with the same quality as Apple? Would you feel inclined to buy from them? Probably not because you don’t trust them the way you trust Apple.
Even though you might never become as successful as Apple, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.
Here are a few tips to develop a positive reputation with your audience:
- Actively engage with your audience. Respond to their comments and let them know that you care.
- Create quality content that delivers value. People are more like to share and talk about what they like.
- Be unique, be yourself. Your audience wants to hear from you! Notice how most people dislike videos with generic robotic voices? They want to hear from a real person.
SEO Is A Narathon, Not A 50 Meter Dash!
Nothing is easy, especially when it comes to SEO. It takes time to rank on the first page even through the proper implementation of SEO. However, if done correctly, you will receive free organic traffic for many years to come.
As long as people continue to use the internet, they will always be able to find your website and your business revenue will continue to grow.— It’s better than paying for traffic because once your campaign stops, your traffic stops as well.
Social Media Is Designed For You To Network
Besides checking up on your friend and see how life is treating them. You can use Social Media to promote your content by sharing it with others as well as network with people who are also interested in your niche.
It opens the door to business opportunities. Maybe someone finds your website interesting through Social Media and would like to offer you sponsorship or partnership. You wouldn’t have caught his or her attention if you never gave Social Media a chance.
You spend around half an hour per day on Social Media. Joining groups that are relevant to your niche, share your content, and most importantly make friends with people.
Highly Targeted Customers Who Are Interested In Your Niche
Sure you can pay for traffic, but that’s exactly like gambling. You invest money into pay-per-click campaigns and you pray that someone will buy your product.
What happens if nobody buys? Well, you’ve pretty invested your money for nothing. This is why I prefer SEO because not only are you going to get customers who are interested in your niche, it’s also free!
All of those free traffic you get from SEO have to search for a specific keyword to find your website. If they weren’t interested, to begin with, they would have never stumbled upon you.
