Hello folks, welcome back to another blog with your host Eric! Today, is November 1, 2017, and do you know what that means?
It means, this is a brand new month, so let’s reflect on our progress of last month. You should do the same if you have recently started your own blog or website!
The journey of online marketing is long and difficult. I can’t stress enough when I say the restless nights where I would stay up until 5 AM in the morning and sleep for 4 hours before continuing on my website.
Smart Affiliate Hub was established on October 16, 2017, with ONE goal in mind: To educate and to learn!
Yes, you got that right, I’m learning as well! As a matter of fact, you guys are all educators because I don’t know everything. When you ask me a question, often times, I do research because I want to give you MY BEST answer possible.
Prior to Smart Affiliate Hub, I made a website on October 14, 2017, trying to help smokers switch to vaping; an alternative.
However, that quickly failed because I soon realized it wasn’t my true passion. My true passion is making money and informing people that it’s possible!
Smart Affiliate Hub was established because I was TIRED. I was tired of searching for ways to make money online, but only to find disappointment. Everybody wants to make money online, but finding a legitimate way is harder than finding a girlfriend without trying.
Yes, it’s that hard! Fortunately, I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate and that changed my life. I had ZERO prior knowledge of website building as well as Online Marketing.
Wealthy Affiliate gave me the knowledge and the tools to get to where I am today. Yes, I’ve only recently started online marketing, but with my recent accomplishments. I think I deserve some bragging rights? HAHA just kidding.
✯Current Progress✯
My website Smart Affiliate Hub was Google Index on the second day of establishment on October 18, 2017 (I know this doesn’t show!).
✯Google AdSense Approved✯
Just recently on October 30, 2017, I was approved for Google AdSense approximately 14 days of establishing my website. It made me realize hard work does pay off and you shouldn’t give up so easily!
✯How I Did It✯
I knew I was going to accomplish Google index and AdSense approval, but I never expect it to be so soon! I came into this industry blind and I spent a full day of going over the certification courses from Wealthy Affiliate and creating my first website.
It was crazy how they claimed you can make your own website and have it ready and hosted all within 30 seconds.
Of course, you had to modify it and add your own content because they can only provide you with the skeleton. I was super confused as to how to change things on WordPress. As a matter of fact, it took me forever to figure out how to set up the menus!
I was also fortunate to have members of Wealthy Affiliate who offered me feedback and guided me in creating this wonderful website. I don’t see this as complete as of yet because I am still learning and I’m always searching for ways to better YOUR experience.
I kept a positive mindset and tried my very best to deliver informative content, but I must admit, the first couple articles weren’t that great! (Please accept my apology).
I tried to deliver a minimum of 1 informative blog on a daily basis, and on certain days maybe 2. The ideas would just come to mind like this one right now.
Most importantly, I never gave up!
“You Can Do It Too”
You got that right! You can do it too, but let me give you a few tips to keep you on the right track. Honestly, most of you are probably doing this already, but if you’re not. Please read carefully(:
When you are creating your website, you want to create something that you can be proud of. For example: If you are proud of your car, you would constantly look back at it even after you’ve parked.
This is exactly the same mentality I want you to have with your website. You want it to be attractive because that’s your first impression for your viewers.
You want to make sure your website is easy to navigate! Pretend as if you’re the viewer and navigate through your website. If it gets confusing and hard to find certain things. That means you need to make the necessary adjustments to fix it!
Now that you have a beautiful website, you want to make sure the information within is helpful to your viewers. People are here because they have questions and if you can deliver informative articles that can answer their questions. You my friend, will be very successful in the long run.
You also want to take notes of the questions asked by your viewers because these are usually commonly asked questions.
You want to create an environment where you are actively engaging with your viewers, so responding to their comment is equally, if not more important than your blog itself.
Don’t be discouraged in the beginning, you might NOT make money yet, but just focus on your content and your viewers. The money will come! You just have to pay your dues first(:
If your priority is content and viewer, I guarantee you will have a lot more fun doing it! If your priority is ONLY making money, then this is not the kind of career you want to seek. There are plenty of minimum wage jobs out there you can get solely for the purpose of making money.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the certification courses as well as the community of Wealthy Affiliate. I would never be able to achieve what I did. Of course, I also needed to keep a positive mind and work hard, but Wealthy Affiliate provided me with the foundation; the structure to start.
