Blogging is all about creating the most helpful and engaging content. This concept has always existed. Look at billboards by the highways. Their purpose is to get their product or service in front of as many people as possible. The more frequent a potential customer sees your content, the more likely they are to remember you and buy from you.
However, even the best-written content fails to do well. Maybe the headline sucks or the images are not engaging enough. That’s why you should follow the fundamentals to maximize your chance of conversion.
When creating content, you should always take the time to do research and make it easy to share by using Social Share buttons like Social Warfare (this is what I use).
In this article, I will be going over important elements you should include when blogging to get more customers through blogging. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Social Media Plugins
I’m going to start off with Social Media Plugins. The best way to market your blog or online business is to have others do it for you. Let’s face it, most people won’t take the time to copy your URL and share it on their Social Media channels.
However, if you make it easy to share by providing buttons within your blog or website. They will be more likely to do it. Everybody likes convenience because it’s less of a hassle.
If you take a look at my blog, you’ll notice that I have Social Share buttons everywhere. Starting from the beginning of each content. If someone has thousands of followers, that’s thousands of potential visitors exposed to your content.
If you’re using WordPress, you can simply install a plug-in, configure the buttons, and let it do its job. Personally, I use Social Warfare, but there are hundreds of others. Look around and see what best fits your needs.
Use The Right Social Media Platform
Not every Social Media Platform is equal. Some have lots of active users while others have barely any activity. You definitely don’t want to waste your time on a network that won’t produce results.
An easy way to find out which Social Media Platform to market on is to look at what other high authority blogs are using. Personally, I recommend the following: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest.
Tip: You can also utilize more personal services such as Snapchat and YouTube. Both of these are great for building a connection with your audience.
Remember back in the days, MySpace was extremely popular? Well, things change, so you should always keep an eye out on what’s popular and what’s not popular.
Any profitable market is going to be highly competitive. Which makes it extremely important to produce high-quality content. You should always do your research before writing your content. I recommend using Google Trends to find out what’s currently trending for your niche industry.
You should always try to make your content super thorough, detailed, and engaging. A picture or video is worth a thousand words. With high-quality content, you’ll win over more customers. Plus it will get shared across many Social Media platforms
Also, if you create high-quality content, other bloggers in your industry might even link back to your blog within their own content. Which increases your reach even further!
Sharing The Right Content
When marketing your own content through Social Media, you want to make sure whatever you’re sharing is appropriate. For example, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter users love images, so you want to have awesome images in your content.
Facebook and Google+ users love both image and text, so research your competitors and see what’s doing well for them. The point is to see what is appropriate, so you can share the right content that converts.
Tip: When using Social Media, utilize #hashtags within your content. This will help organize your content and help users find your post.
Lastly, I recommend tracking your links using a link tracking software. If you can’t afford to pay for services, you can use free tools like bit.ly.com. Use this to check how well your links are doing, so you can optimize your posts accordingly.
What I’m starting to do is create a word document with different bit.ly links for each Social Media platform, so I know which one is doing well and which one is not. It’s a bit more work intensive, but it’s free.
When it comes to marketing, you have to start with the basics. Even if your content reaches thousands of users, it won’t convert well if it’s low-quality. However, even if you have high-quality content, it doesn’t matter if nobody sees it.
Focus on writing high-quality content and use the above tips to maximize your marketing effort. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Please leave a message down below and I will try my best to help you out!
