How To Properly Launch A Blog Today With The Most Success!

  • by

Thank you for checking out my blog on how to properly launch a blog with a higher chance of success. According to Host Tribunal, out of 1.7 million websites, there are 500 million blogs as of 2021.

However, out of the 500 million blogs, not everyone is successful. In fact, most are earning less than $100.00 per month. So you must think strategically if you want to become an influencer and make money online.

What I tell everyone who is interested in blogging: It’s easy to start a blog, but it’s hard to become successful at it.

All it takes to start a blog is a domain name, a web hosting service, and installing WordPress. That’s it! But is that enough to be successful and stand out in the crowd of millions of other blogs out there?

So in short, launching a blog is quite simple. But creating a profitable blog is a whole another story. That’s why you must put forth the time, effort, and work before launching your blog. You’ll need to plan ahead.

Like riding a bike, your first experience of blogging will be a bumpy ride. You’ll likely fail a couple of times, but through failure, you will find success.

Note: This article is for those who have already purchased a domain name, web hosting, and installed WordPress. But have not yet launched their website (make their website go live).

The following are things that I want you to focus on during the pre-launch period of your blog. Don’t launch your blog until you’ve understood the basics of my pre-launch list.

Pre-launch: Search Engine Optimization

Unless you have a lot of money to begin with, you’ll want to focus on free organic traffic. In order to be successful at getting lots of free organic traffic, you’ll need to have a strong understanding in SEO.

However, there is a lot to learn when it comes to SEO, that’s why I recommend checking out Neil Patel a QuickSprout, or signing up for Wealthy Affiliate.

Learning the fundamentals of SEO can help you greatly when it comes to content creation.

For example, learning how to apply the right keywords and phrases, will help Google determine what and where it should rank on its search engine results page.

This will greatly help increase your rank as well as reach to the right audience group.

When it comes to SEO, there are 2 options, you either focus on it yourself or you can contract out the job to someone who is experienced in SEO.

Either way, the importance of search engine optimization is there and it greatly impacts the success of your blog.

For WordPress Users, I highly recommend installing one of the following plugins for SEO:

They all come with a free membership plan as well as a paid membership plan. For starter, I would stick with the free membership.

Pre-launch: Focus On Evergreen Content

Evergreen content is a popular term in this industry. What it means is content that stays relevant through the test of time. With the exception of News Related websites.

They don’t care for evergreen content because they are constantly writing about current events.

If you want to have that level of success, you’ll need a staff team who are constantly researching and pumping out current event articles.

Assuming that you’re a one-person operation. You’ll want to focus on evergreen content, each evergreen article will help drive traffic for the long term.

Regardless of your niche industry (fitness, health, finances, etc). You’ll want to create content that you can update over time. This will help keep its relevance.

Pre-launch: Branding Your Blog

If you don’t have a logo yet, now is the time to get yourself one. If you take a look at the current market, most can associate a logo with its brand. For example, when you see the Apple logo, you will immediately think of Apple Inc. Personally, I have used Designevo to create my logos in the past.

Next, the way you design your blog should be unique and consistent. For example, the way you start a blog post and the way you end a blog post.

These days, the first impression is very important. Well, it’s always important, you pre-judge someone based on their appearance before you actually get to know the person.

Another example would be at a fancy dinner. You’re willing to spend more money because you presume the food is going to be amazing due to its presentation. So making a brand for your blog is an extremely important step toward success.

Pre-launch: Having The Right Mindset

Unfortunately, most people fail to be successful at blogging because they don’t stick to it long enough. Keep in mind, you are competing against millions of other blogs out there.

You’re not going to be successful overnight. Blogging is easy to get started, but it can take months or even years to see a breakthrough. Therefore, most people lose track and lose motivation.

You must treat your blog as a business. One that is easy to start, but requires a lot of time and effort to see success.

There’s a good chance that you won’t make any money for the first year. Some people do, but most people won’t. That’s because you haven’t made a name for yourself.

Search engines have not ranked your content high enough to attract more readers. But that’s okay! We all start from zero. For now, you’ll want to stick with SEO, creating evergreen content, continue to improve your brand, and sharing your content via Social Media.

In Conclusion

With the pre-launch list completed, you are now ready to officially ready to launch your blog. But do keep in mind that the pre-launch list doesn’t stop there. You’ll have to continue to implement the pre-launch list through the life of your blog.
