At the beginning of your website’s life, you’re probably wondering what you can do to generate as much visitors as possible. What I want you to do is think far deeper than just generating mere numbers.

What good is having a lot of visitors if you’re not turning them into leads and eventually paying customers? It’s like opening a store with people only looking to do window shopping.

According to Marketo.com, 96 percent of visitors who visits your website aren’t ready to buy (yet). And that’s why it’s so important to learn how to capture their information via email marketing for lead nurturing.

Once a visitor leaves your website, it’s unlikely that they’ll remember your website and return. That’s why it’s your duty to let them know of your existence even after they’ve left your website.

Now there are various ways to capture leads on your website. Fortunately, if you are a WordPress user, there are tools that can help you increase the likelihood of someone subscribing to your newsletter and effectively becoming a lead.

#1. Thrive Leads (Opt-In Offer)

To get started, I recommend checking out Thrive Leads, there you can build beautifully designed opt-in offers in the form of pop-ups, ribbons, in-line forms, 2-step opt-in forms, slide-ins, opt-in widgets, screen fillers, content lock, scroll mats, multiple choice forms, etc.

It also comes with tracking information allowing you to run a/b testing to constantly improve your offers. But here’s an important step that you shouldn’t take lightly at all.

And that is to offer a lead magnet. A lead magnet is essentially an offer that entices your visitors to sign up for your newsletter.

The lead magnet should relate to your website’s niche. For example, if you are running a weight loss website, your offer should be something like a free guide book with 14 steps to losing weight (just an example).

#2. AWeber (Email Marketing Service Provider)

What good is a lead capture tool when you have no where to store your emails? With an email marketing service provider, you can store, track, and create automated campaigns to make your life a thousand times easier.

With AWeber, I am able to create a sequence of emails that starts as soon as someone signs up for my newsletter. The welcome email includes my Ultimate Passive Income Model eBook which lists the steps that I took to create Smart Affiliate Hub.

Personally, I’ve dealt with mailerlite and mailchimp which are both great providers, but in the end, I stuck with AWeber because I like their customer support as well as how newbie-friendly the entire platform is designed.

#3. ClickFunnels or InterFunnels (Sales Funnel Creation Software)

A sales funnel creation software allows you to create beautiful landing pages for many different purposes. ClickFunnels or Interfunnels are both great choices if you are not tech savvy or if you can’t afford to hire a designer to create landing pages for you.

They are also designed to help nurture your leads. Guiding them down the path and turning them from prospects, to leads, and eventually paying customers.

Imagine having a virtual salesperson working for you 24/7 for as long as your website is live and active. That’s the power of having a sales funnel creation software.

It All Starts With You Giving A Little And Expecting Nothing In Return

Sometimes we forget that selling can be a turn off at times. You don’t want to appear as the hungry salesperson who will do anything to generate a sale. What you want to do is provide true value.
