How I Created My Lead Magnet
It really depends on what your website is about. If you’re blogging, you should create a free eBook that you can give away to your future subscribers for signing up. Who doesn’t like free stuff right? You’re not going to make money from this offer, but you’re going to get an email.

In my case, what I did was I compiled previous blog posts and made it into an eBook with step-by-step action plans for my readers to follow. It doesn’t require a lot of time, because the information was already there. I just had to piece it together!—You’re probably wondering, why would anyone want to download a book that can be found for free?
Well, I do have over 190+ articles as of 5/8/2018. It would be very time-consuming to find all of the information, so why not get a step-by-step version where I’ve already compiled together for you?
Just in case you’re wondering how I made my eBook. I used Google Doc, copy and paste over relevant articles and saved it as a PDF file.—It’s literally that simple!
How To Create A Lead Magnet With Simple Steps To Follow
Well, if you’ve just started and don’t have enough blog posts to create your free eBook. There are alternatives you can do! Don’t let anything stop you from collecting emails from the get-go. I didn’t do it from the beginning and I totally regret it!
Step #1. Select Your Buyer Persona
A buyer persona is essentially the profile that represents your ideal customers. The purpose is to identify their needs and solve their problems, so you can attract valuable prospects that are more likely to convert into customers.
Step #2. Recognize Your Value Proposition
After you’ve selected your targeted audience, you want to give them a reason to download your lead magnet. Keep in mind, your lead magnet must deliver the value as promised if you hope to capture lots of leads.
This should be fairly simple because your niche is pretty much the reason why people visit your blog. For example, if your blog is about how to get a six-pack. You can provide your audience with a quick guide on how to get a six-pack. Sounds easy enough right?
Step #3. Choose A Name For Your Lead Magnet
Similar to choosing a blog post headline, you want a compelling name for your lead magnet. One that will capture the attention of your audience and entice them to opt-in. This is fairly easy to do especially since you’ve already identified your targeted audience and what they are looking for.
Step #4. Choose The Type Of Lead Magnet You Want To Give Away For Free
Here’s the fun part! Choosing what you want to give away for free. You don’t have to be like me and create an eBook because there are many options to choose from depending on your niche.
Lead Magnet Options:

- Service Report
- Free Trial Software
- Product Discounts
- Tools and Resources
- Video Training
I’m sure there are more options to choose from, but those are the only ones that I can think of at the moment.
Step #5. Create Your Lead Magnet
Now that you’ve decided on the type of lead magnet you want to use. The obvious thing to do next is to create the lead magnet. While you’re creating your lead magnet, you want to make sure whatever you say on the lead capture page “Landing page”, delivers. I created my landing page via elementor page builder.
