In my opinion, failure is required to have a successful online business. No matter what you do, whether it is to start a new hobby or an online business. If you want to succeed, you must allow yourself to fail.

It’s perfectly normal that if you expect failure to happen, you’re probably not going to be motivated to get started. So most people don’t want to even think about failure.

An example I’d like to use here is a friend of mine. He doesn’t believe in failure. No matter what he does, he wants to succeed.

Sure it’s okay to hope that you succeed right away, we all do. But that’s wishful thinking. You’re better off hoping that you win the next big lottery.

By not accepting failure, you’ll miss out on opportunities that may or may not benefit you. Failure is part of a risk that we all take.

Personally, by not pursuing my dreams it has already determined my failure, so what do I have to lose?

Do you remember falling off of a bike as a child? If you gave up or stopped learning how to ride a bike perfectly (afraid of failure), you’ll never be able to.

In this article, I want to specifically cater to those who want to pursue the make money online career. This is to serve as a motivation to help you keep pushing forward.

You Can’t Run Away From Failure

I am not in the market to sugarcoat the truth about making money online. No matter what you do in life, there’s always a risk of failing.

According to Meera Kothand, only 5% of bloggers earn a full-time income from their blog(s). The chances of you wasting your time and not earning a single dime is not an unlikely thing to happen.

Or let’s say your first YouTube channel, you might not become the next YouTube star no matter how much time and effort you’ve dedicated to your channel.

Yes, it sounds horrible and might even discourage you to pursue the dream of making money online. However, if you never got started, you wouldn’t have succeeded, to begin with.

What you want to make out of this is to learn from your failure. Through failure, you’ll learn what not to do, so you won’t make the same mistakes in the future.

How come your blog was not getting the attention it deserves? Were you not marketing it? Was it your SEO strategy? You must ask yourself questions, so you can be better.

Even The Big Companies Have Faced Failures

Often times, we only see the success of big companies and don’t realize that they’ve failed many times even though they’re so successful today.

While conducting research for this article, I learned from Lewis C. Lin, who wrote a list of Google Products that failed. Some of which I’ve never even heard of before.

Even the big mighty Google has failed, not once, not twice, but many times. I believe it’s the failures that helped make them who they are today.

Failure is just another lesson for yourself. By learning why you failed, you’ll also pick up how not to fail. Crazy huh?

Keeping It Short And Sweet

Embrace failure and learn from your mistakes. Failure is a recipe for success, so make sure to have that as an active ingredient for anything you pursue.

The more you fail, the more you’ll learn, and that contributes to your success. When was the last time you failed and did you learn from it?

Please share your experiences down below. I’d love to hear it and if you need help with anything, please let me know and I’ll try my best to help you out!
