Happy New Years! Well, this post will get published sometime after New Years, but I want to share an important lesson from my casino visit. Today, my family and I decided to pay a visit to Graton Casino & Resort. I’m not big on gambling. In fact, I spend most of my time drinking and observing on the side.
During my stay, I was also checking out my blog and a lesson sparked a light in my mind. In this article, I will share my experience as well as the lesson that I learned. Without further ado, let’s get started!
The Arrival
Like most casinos & resorts, Graton is no exception with its great structure and scenery. I just couldn’t resist taking a picture before entering the main entrance. I’ve been to many Casinos in my life, but I’m always shocked by how many people stay at a casino and how zombie-like they are.
As I was strolling through slot machines after slot machines. I couldn’t help but think that a casino is a get-rich-quick scheme. (This is not to talk down on Casinos, it’s part of life). But let’s face it, who in the casino doesn’t want to get rich quick?
Even though members of my family were there to have fun, but deep down they are also looking for the jackpot. I know I felt that way when I used to actually play the games with them.
Note: I also learned to not touch anyone on the shoulder. It’s considered bad luck haha.
An Online Business Is Not A Casino
When it comes to making money online or starting an online business. Many people are looking for that casino, get-rich-quick result. For example, you spend money on paid ads and hope to profit from your initial investment. Sounds very much like the casino right?
You put money in the slot machine and hope to get a bigger return. Unfortunately, an online business is not a casino. In fact, I don’t even recommend going to the casino unless you only go for entertainment. The money is just a bonus!
If your livelihood is dependent on winning at the casino, then you are in deep trouble. What happens if you lose it all? Even if you win, you’re still considered a loser because you’re probably not going to stop.
It’s perfectly normal because when you’re winning, you’re hoping to win more. When you’re losing, you’re hoping that your next bet will win it all back.
Eating Pho At Graton Casino & Resort
For those who don’t know me. I am big on food, so no matter where I go. Food is always a priority. Honestly, I wish I had the appetite to try out all the food. Anyways, I ended up going with the pho noodle stall and ordered a bowl of spicy beef noodle soup.
The soup was pretty good! It’s full of flavor, but the noodle was a little too soft. This is my personal preference. Maybe you’ll like it! If you’ve tried their food before, please let me know your thoughts.

If you’re looking to make big bucks fast, your best bet is to go to the casino. Conversely, the casino is also the fastest way to lose all of your money.
